Sandwiches - Taco Lettuce Wraps

  • Head lettuce or bunch
  • Romaine lettuce
  • 1 pound ground beef, browned
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar taco sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced black olives, optional
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag shredded Cheddar cheese, or your choice of cheeses
  • 1 (12 ounce) tub sour cream

Carefully peel off large lettuce leaves, wash, and damp dry with paper towel. Be careful not to break lettuce. Brown ground beef with onions. Add taco seasoning and sauce; mix together. Drain can of olives. Lay out lettuce leaf. Put some cheese on a leaf; add a few olives, tomatoes, ground beef, and sour cream. Roll up lettuce leaf and enjoy. Make as many as ground beef will allow. Usually makes about six (depending on how much you put in each leaf).
