Breads, Rolls, and Muffins - Cheese and Sausage Muffins

  • 1 (1-pound) package ground pork sausage
  • 3 cups all-purpose baking mix
  • 11/2 (6 ounces) cups shredded cheese (preferably Cheddar)
  • 1 (103/4 ounce) can condensed cheese soup
  • 3/4 cup water

Cook sausage in a large skillet, stir until it crumbles and is no longer pink, drain, and let cool.
Combine sausage, baking mix, and shredded cheese in a large bowl, then make a well in the center of the mixture.
Mix together the soup and
water. Add to the sausage mixture. Mix well until all dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pans. Fill cups to the top.
Bake at 375ยบ for 20 to 25 minutes, lightly browned. It will take about 15 minutes to prepare the muffins and 25 minutes to bake. Makes 15 muffins.
