Recipe of the Month Desserts - Reindeer Cupcakes



INGREDIENTS
  • 1 box cake mix, any flavor
  • Water, vegetable oil, and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 (1-pound) container chocolate frosting
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • 24 large pretzel twists
  • 24 miniature marshmallows
  • 24 small red gumdrops
  • 24 red cinnamon candies

INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups. Following directions on cake mix box for 24 cupcakes, make and bake them. Ice cupcakes with frosting and add chocolate sprinkles over top. For each cupcake, cut a pretzel twist in half and arrange for reindeer antlers. Cut miniature marshmallows in half; arrange on cupcakes for eyes. Center gumdrop below marshmallow halves for nose. Place red cinnamon candy below gumdrop for mouth. Note: Bake in holiday-themed baking cups for a more festive spirit.
Store loosely covered.
