Recipe of the Month Breakfast Foods - Granola Breakfast Bars

  • 1/2 cups oats
  • 1 cut nuts
  • 1 cup raisins, chocolate chips, or mixture of both
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350º. Spread oats on cookie sheet and bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Mix all ingredients, including oats, until coated. Grease a cookie sheet. Spread and pat mixture into pan. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes. Cool completely and cut into bars. (I use a pizza cutter). Store in a plastic bag or container.
