Appetizers - Cheddar Corn Chip Bake

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 small jar taco sauce or salsa
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-pound bag corn chips
  • 1 small bag shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small bag shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook beef, pork, onion, and bell pepper together until done; drain. Add sauce or salsa and salt and pepper to taste; mix well.
In a deep casserole dish, layer half of the corn chips, meat mixture, mozzarella cheese, and Cheddar cheese; repeat layers. Bake at 300° for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
