Breads, Rolls, and Muffins - Fire Crackers

  • 1 box saltine crackers
  • 1 package dry ranch dressing mix
  • 3 tablespoons crushed red pepper
  • 11/3 cups canola oil (no other oil will work as well)

Place crackers in a large bowl with a lid. Sprinkle ranch dressing and red pepper on top. Put lid on bowl and toss gently until well mixed. Add oil and toss again. Continue to toss every 20 minutes to be sure the crackers are coated.
Allow the crackers to sit for at least a couple of hours so the oil can be absorbed. These are excellent served with chili, spaghetti, salads, or cheese.
