Appetizers - Bacon-Cheese Toast Bars



INGREDIENTS
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Dash of pepper
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 slices bread

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine first six ingredients. Mix well. Stir in bacon and set aside.

Remove crusts from bread. Toast bread slices lightly on both sides. Spread toast evenly with cheese mixture. Cut each slice into three strips. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350° F. for 12 to 15 minutes.

Note: This may be assembled several hours before baking. Cover and place in refrigerator. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, then bake as directed.
