Fried Green Onions

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 20 green onions, cut into five-inch lengths
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions


Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir well. Gradually add water to flour
mixture, stirring until smooth. Stir in sesame seeds.
Dip onions in batter and fry in deep oil heated to 375°. Fry until golden, turning once. Drain well on paper towels. Serve warm.
