Peppermint Ice Cream

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2/3 cup candy canes, crushed


Whisk together milk and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add cream and extracts. Pour into ice cream maker. Churn according to manufacturer’s instructions until thick and creamy.
Add candy canes; churn an additional 5 minutes. Makes 1½ quarts.
