Merry Christmas Punch

Ingredients

  • Rind of 1 orange, grated
  • Rind of 1 lemon, grated
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 3 cups orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice
  • 1 (48-ounce) bottle cranberry juice
  • 1 (33.8-ounce) bottle ginger ale, chilled
  • Instructions


    Combine orange rind, lemon rind, water, and sugar in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for five minutes. Allow mixture to cool.
    Combine mixture with almond extract, orange juice, lemon juice, and cranberry juice. Before serving, mix in ginger ale and pour over ice.
    Yield: 1 1/4 gallons.
