Mounds Candy Bars

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 11/2 pounds coconut


Combine water, sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Boil to soft ball stage. Cool a little; stir until creamy. Add vanilla and coconut; mix well. Form balls and dip into melted chocolate. Drop on waxed paper.
Note: It works best to chill the coconut balls before dipping in chocolate.
