Fried Fish

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1-2 pounds fish fillets
  • Oil for deep-frying

Instructions


Mix eggs and shortening together; add flour, salt, and baking powder. Add milk gradually, stirring until batter is smooth.
Dip fish pieces in batter. Deep-fry in hot oil until crispy.
