Maple Candied Popcorn

  • 12 cups popcorn
  • 1 egg white
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons maple extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cups fine granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts


Preheat oven to 325ยบ. Coat an 11-x-13-inch pan with cooking spray; set aside.
Place popcorn in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine egg white, syrup, extract, salt, and sugar; mix well. Add peanuts; toss until peanuts are coated. Pour over popcorn; mix until popcorn is coated.
Place mixture on baking pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mix is crispy. Remove from oven and spread onto parchment or waxed paper. Cool before serving.
