Cranberry Chutney

  • 1 (16-ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 2 red delicious apples
  • 4 navel oranges
  • 2 pears
  • 3 cups sugar


Remove any stems from fruit. Cut into quarters, leaving cores and seeds. Process fruits in a food processor until finely chopped. Stir in sugar. Chill, covered.
Note: This goes well with almost any meat. The recipe comes from my son, Reese Covington, who owns Covington’s Downtown restaurant in Huntsville, Ala.
