Peanut Butter Raisin Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Instructions


    Cream peanut butter, shortening, and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Mix in vanilla and milk. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in raisins.

    Drop by rounded teaspoons on well-greased baking sheet about two inches apart. Bake at 400° F for eight to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

    Yield: 36 cookies.
