Conversation Corn Crisps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 drops of Tabasco pepper sauce (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup yellow corn meal
  • Coarsely ground black pepper or paprika (optional)

Instructions


In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat and quickly stir in
the remaining ingredients. Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until crisp. Serve hot or cold and garnish with coarsely ground black pepper or paprika if desired.
Yield: Approximately 30 crisps.
