  • ¼ cup Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 cup chopped ham
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 3 to 4 slices American cheese
  • Apple Glaze:
  • 1 apple
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Dash of cinnamon

Marinate tenders for 30 to 60 minutes in Worcestershire sauce and Liquid Smoke. Fry in skillet or on grill. Arrange on serving dish. Top with chopped ham, mozzarella, and American cheeses.
Heat oven to 300°. Place chicken in oven to melt cheeses, watching closely so cheese does not get too brown. Remove when cheese is melted.
Combine glaze ingredients and cook in a little water until apples are tender. Pureé in
blender, adding more water if necessary until mixture is of pouring consistency. Reheat and pour over chicken when serving.
The cook says: My 7-year-old daughter, Emaline, enjoys helping me prepare and eat this recipe. She likes to swish the chicken in the marinade, put the ham and cheese on top, and watch the cheese melt in the oven.
