Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, cut into wedges like French fries
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons spices or herbs of your choice (I use 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 1
  • tablespoon basil)

Instructions


Preheat oven to 350°. Place potatoes in a plastic bag with oil and herbs or spices. Shake to coat evenly.
Arrange potatoes on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes, turning halfway
through for even cooking. Broil for about three minutes to get a golden color and make them a little crispy.
The cook says: I use Gourmet Garden Basil, which comes from the herb section at Kroger. The herbs come in a tube, and you squeeze out the amount you need. It’s much better than dry basil in most of my recipes.
