Morristown’s Main Street area is another one of Tennessee’s small-town treasures. The inviting historic area is home to a number of neat antique shops and boutiques on two tiers. According to the town’s website, the area was revitalized after nearby Turkey Creek flooded in 1962 and nearly wiped out the downtown commercial district. The city developed a plan to “modernize” Main Street by creating the overhead sidewalk and turning the second level into a new street while creating a canopy.
